Idea:
In partnership with Penguin Random House, Monotype created a first-of-its-kind typeface called Charming Font, designed specifically for the male lead in romance fiction. By studying the personality traits women find most attractive in romance heroes and translating them into typographic features like weight, contrast, stroke tension, and spacing, Monotype crafted Charming to give him his own distinct voice on the page. Because readers don't just read stories, they live inside them, every line of his dialogue now carries an emotional signature designed to make readers fall in love and keep turning pages all the way to the very last one.
